Taming a Sugar Monster with Sonicare Kids #GetTheFeeling

Ivy is getting her first adult teeth. She lost her first baby teeth (the bottom two) about a month ago. She loooooooves sugar. In fact, all of my girls do. They would eat treats, chocolate milk and candy, muffins and anything sweet all day long. No lie. So I need to teach these girls good oral hygiene or they’ll be plagued with cavities for sure.

When Sonicare asked me if she would like to try their new kids brush, I happily said “yes!”. I hoped that she would enjoy the feeling of a high-quality electric toothbrush and I’ve been pleasantly surprised at her response the first few days with it.

“I feel squishy clean. Like I didn’t just eat a lollipop.”

So I think what she means is ‘squeaky’ clean and that her mouth feels pretty good even though she did have a lollipop before she brushed her teeth.

“I love the sound, it’s quiet but buzzy.”

The option to customize the toothbrush is fantastic for kids as well, although she’s chosen to leave hers plain right now, I know she’ll use these stickers eventually.

She brought along the charger on a recent weekend getaway even though I explained she wouldn’t need to charge it daily. I think the charger just makes her feel important like she has a toothbrush like mom’s.

When asked what her toothbrush’s name would be if it were a robot, she replied…

“Obama”

Ha! I have no idea where that came from or if she even knows that is the name of the U.S. President.

So far she’s loving her new Philips Sonicare toothbrush. I can’t wait to share more with you in a few weeks! #GetTheFeeling
