Happy Father’s Day!!! The possibilities are endless this weekend as activities throughout the GTA are abundant and the kiddos are loving the sunshine!
Most notably are the Toronto Harbour and Island tour we are planning with our dear friends the “C Clan”. No doubt our little babies will love the boat ride, um we hope, and we parents will have an opportunity to venture out in Downtown Toronto. Obviously, it is a rare occasion now that both our families have children, however, once we make the trek down I have a feeling it will not be as difficult as we think. Who knows? Maybe this will start a trend of getting out more on the weekends with baby in tow. Since on a recent weekend we took advantage of the sunshine and our little guys late nap to head to the beaches.
Driving down early sure beats the traffic and the play area at Ashbridges Bay is perfect for the little’s. If you do intend to visit the beaches, make sure you stop by my friends bakery, Athen’s Pastries, for a delectable treat with your mid-morning coffee. I suggest the Honey Balls! aka Loukoumathes.
Whatever you do choose to do this weekend, make sure you take time out to honour the Father’s in our lives. They have at times taken on the Mother’s role (as did my Papa) and have become loving father’s to our children before our very eyes. Happy Father’s Day Gentlemen.
