Circle Craft Market and Make it! Craft Fair – Yes, it is November 9th, which means Christmas really is coming soon! Get ahead by shopping the Circle Craft Market, happening downtown this weekend or the Make it! Fair at the Croatian Cultural Centre on Commercial Drive. Both shows are sure to feature some amazing gift ideas and local finds. Both shows are happening between now and this Sunday, November 11.
Remembrance Day Ceremonies November 11 – Buy a poppy this weekend and support and remember our veterans. It’s a long weekend for many of us, let’s remember why. Remembrance Day ceremonies start downtown at 8am with a brief Generation-to-Generation ceremony and the lighting of the cauldron in Jack Poole Plaza. The main ceremony and parade will commence down the road at Victory Square at 10am. Get details.
Parade Organics Sample Sale November 13 & 14 – One of my favourite clothing lines is having a sample sale! I outfitted my son’s first year with purchases at these sample sales. You are getting quality, organic cotton, and adorable designs at amazing prices. Well worth a stop at Parade’s Gastown boutique. Details.
Gastown Shop Hop November 15, 5pm-9pm – Leave the kids at home with a sitter and head out for the Gastown Shop Hop! Many of this neighbourhood’s stores and restaurants will be open late and offering special 1-night only discounts, drinks, and snacks. I remember when these Shop Hops first started and boy, has this event grown! There are so many fab shops and restaurants involved now – will be a great night. Details.
