Disney Plus just realeased Star, streaming that appeals to a more mature audience. Within its existing platform, more than 150 TV series and 500 movies will be available to Canadians. It is being compared to Disney-owned HULU (USA) but not everthing from HULU is on Star. Streaming from Disney-owned ABC television, 20th Century Studios and the FX channel are what you will find with the addition of Star. Retro classics like “M.A.S.H” and “Family Guy”, “Alias” and “X-files”(two of my favs) and movies like “Romeo and Juliet”, “Borat” and “Die Hard”. Plus lots of newer content and exclusive content.
But you need to be subscribed to Disney + in order to get Star. The monthly rates have increased by $3/month to$11.99/month or $119.99/year.

Being released on Netflix, this cute movie about a Troubled teen Will Hawkins (Kevin Quinn) who has a run-in with the law that puts him at an important crossroad: go to juvenile detention or attend a Christian summer camp. At first a fish-out-of-water, Will opens his heart, discovers love with a camp regular (Bailee Madison), and sense of belonging in the last place he expected to find it.
This looks like a really cute movie. I am looking forward to watching it with the family.
Another fun family movie is coming out this March on Netflix. Yes Day, Based on the picture book by Amy Krouse Rosenthal and Tom Lichtenheld. Yes Day follows one family, where for 24 hours the kids make the rules!
Now wouldnt that be fun….interesting…scary…. to let our kids call all the shots for 24 hours!
Looking forward to this one, especially my kids!
Review Update: Yes Day movie is a movie our family could relate to! As a mom it was almost scary how relatable it was – I even felt bad for the parents in parts – it was so relatable, lol ! It was a feel-good family movie with lots of laughs and it was easy to get right into it. It was a great movie, our family really enjoyed it and of course, immediately when the movie ended – asked if we can have a Yes Day!
Wanna do something fun as a family?
