Summer is upon us and with that comes fun camping trips with your family. Camping meals can be tricky to come up with as you usually have pretty limited space depending on if you’re in an RV, trailer, or tenting. Because of that it’s important to keep things simple but still delicious especially when there are kids along for the trip. So, I have put together a list of some easy and yummy camping meals for kids.

 

1. Campfire Nachos

I think we can all agree that nachos are definitely an elite meal. They are great for camping as most things you can prepare ahead of time like pre shredded cheese, canned beans, and chopping up any veggies you would like as toppings. It’s also great for kids as you can customize it depending on their preferences.

 

2. Chili Mac and Cheese

A one pot meal is incredibly helpful while camping. Bringing your Instapot or slow cooker with you is a total gamechanger for your meal options. This recipe combines chili and mac and cheese into one tasty dish. Each person can add whatever toppings you like!

3. Surf n Turf Foil Packs

Don’t have pans for camping? No problem! Foil packs are going to be your new best friend. This surf n turf recipe looks delicious but you can fill your foil packs with whatever you like and cook it over the fire.

We obviously had to include some delicious breakfast ideas. These french toast packs are sure to please. Add in any fruit, chocolate, bacon to the packs ( each person can have their own) and throw it over the fire to cook up nice and crispy.

Sloppy joes are such a classic and for good reason. An easy and quick recipe that gets everyone fed in 30 minutes. I would have a salad or veggie tray to go along with this dish.
