Canada Day 2018 in the Fraser Valley

Happy Birthday Canada!!

All events listed below take place on July 1st.

Chilliwack

Time: 8am to 4pm

Place: 43150 Wolfe Rd.

Cost: $5 Pancake Breakfast from 8am to 11am. Admission is free.

Info: This event will feature family and children’s entertainment, activities and food. Free face painting, balloon twisting and bouncy castles. Evening ceremonies start at 5 pm with live bands and fireworks ending the night.

Enjoy local community group displays, stage performances, vendor market, food trucks, Axewood Crew axe throwing, Beer Garden, Yellow Bird Birth Doulas Mom’s Lounge, live music, fireworks finale and more!

Abbotsford

Time: 11am to 10pm

Place: Abbotsford Exhibition Park/ Rotary Stadium

Cost: Free admission.

Info: The parade starts at 11am. The excitement will be parading down South Fraser Way from Ware Street and up Trethewey Street to Maclure road. There will be live music starting at 1pm. This event will also feature a local artisan market, community displays, interactive play zone, mini golf, pony rides, and food trucks.

Mission

Time: 8am to 5pm

Place: 7494 Mary St.

Cost: $5 Pancake Breakfast from 8am to 10:30am. Admission is free.

Info: This event features live music, community performances from Ace Academy of Cheer, Can Dance, Suburban Swing, True Art Academy, and many more! You can come for morning yoga, watch Norden the Magician, Matsqui Fly Ball and Agility Dog Show, just to name a few.

The fireworks start at 10pm at the Mission Raceway(32670 Dyke Rd.). Admission is free after 8:30pm.

 

Maple Ridge

Time: 12pm to 6pm

Place: Memorial Peace Park- 11900 224th street/

Cost: Free Admission

Info: Parade starts at noon. This event will feature stage entertainment featuring Barry Wilson, Ridge Meadows Got Talent Winners, Spirit of Polynesia Dance and theatrical performances from ACT Theatre, arts & craft market, family games, pony rides, picnic in the park, food and drink events and more!

Coquitlam

Time: 8am to 10pm

Place: Castle Park, Citadel Heights and Lions Park

Cost: Free Admission

Langley

Time: 11am to 6pm

Place: 7888 200 Street

Cost: Free admission and parking

Info: There will be live performances from Lanie McAuley, Me & Mae, Bucko & Toad, Hunter Brothers, and Doc Walker. There will be a Kid Zone featuring face painting, games, racing, inflatables and more! The proceeds from the BBQ will go to Basics for Babies.

Surrey

Time: 11am to 10:30pm

Place: Cloverdale Millennium Amphitheater- 17728 64 avenue

Cost: Free admission

Info: Serena Ryder and Brett Kissel are headlining this event. There are several other performers including DJ Flipout, Krystle Dos Santos, Matt Henry, Harlequin Gold, The Faceplants and more! White Rock

Time: 10am to 10pm

Place: White Rock Beach

Cost: Admission is Free

Info: The mainstage is located near Totem Park. This event will include opening ceremonies, food trucks, vendors along the promenade, sandcastle building and a Firefighters Charity BBQ, kid zone and fireworks. For more information please visit: Whiterock Canada Day by the Bay.
