Easter is April 2019.
We are lucky to live in an area that has so many different activities happening. Whether you want to stay in the city or head for a farm there are activities for everyone. I have compiled a list of a few to choose from. Let me know on Facebook or Instagram on which ones your family is looking forward to.
Harrison Mills
Place: Kilby Historic Site, 215 Kilby Road

Info: Happening April 20th – 21st. There will be candy bags for everyone as children search the farmyard for Easter eggs. Decorate an egg to hang on the Easter Tree, spend some time with the farm animals and play some old fashioned Easter themed games and crafts. The restaurant will be serving a traditional Easter luncheon.
Mission

Abbotsford

Price includes hayride down the bunny trail to participate in the Easter egg hunt (BYOB…basket that is!), bunny town photo booth where you can cuddle and take your own photos with a real bunny, observation beehive, bouncing pillow, petting barn, track line & tractor trail trikes and peddle karts.
Maple Ridge

Info: Happening April 21st. There will be an Easter Egg hunt throughout the afternoon with prizes for all children who participate. The Easter eggs will be refreshed throughout the event. There will be shelter tours, face painting, games, colouring contests, and a VEGAN hotdog BBQ as well! Door prizes for the adults coming to support as well!
Langley
Place: Fort Langley National Historic Site, 23433 Mavis Avenue

Info: This event is held on April 21st. This event has a relaxed scavenger hunt where every child collects stamps and will receive a treat. There will also be blacksmithing demonstrations at 11:30am, 1:30pm and 3:30pm. .

Info: Happening April 19th – 22nd. Visit with the goats and sheep in the petting zoo, hold a piglet in the barn and cuddle with bunnies in the grass. Maybe even get a chance to bottle feed one of the little lambs! After visiting with all the animals, take a tractor-pulled hayride around the farm to see what is happening at this time of year.
Make a day of it and pack a picnic lunch. Or buy lunch on site farm: fresh sausages, chips, Easter cookies, and hot and cold drinks will be available.
Aldergrove
Place: The Greater Vancouver Zoo, 5048 264th Street
Time: 11am – 3pm
Cost: $21 to $28. Children 0-2 are FREE.
Info: Happening April 19th – 22nd. Train rides are $5 and parking is $6. Bunnies will be on site for petting. There is outbreak of rabbit hemorrhagic disease in Parksville so they have been taking active measures to ensure the wellbeing of the rabbits and work with the onsite Vet. The rabbits are all vaccinated every year, including for this strain of the disease and are at very low risk. Only members of the highly qualified animal care team will be holding the rabbits with members of the audience provided with the opportunity to pet them if the animals are comfortable with it. This is an educational interaction designed to improve knowledge and understanding of the commitment involved in correctly caring for bunnies.
Surrey
Place: BCSPCA, 1648 50 Avenue

Info: Happening April 20th. Rabbit themed games, crafts, educational scavenger hunt, the Easter Bunny’s egg hunt, and learn about rabbits in the Surrey community.
Place: Bear Creek Park Train & Mini-Golf, 13700 88 Avenue
Time: 10am to 6pm (last train is at 5:45pm)

Info: Happening April 19th – 22nd. Take a train ride into the forest for an Easter Egg Hunt and a visit with the Easter Bunny. Each child will use their creativity to decorate their bags (art supplies will be provided). When your child collects the eggs they will trade it in for treats. Each child will have the opportunity to get their face painted like an Easter Bunny. Bring your cameras and meet the Easter Bunny and take your own picture.
Place: Historic Stewart Farm, 13723 Crescent Road
Time: 11am – 3pm
Cost: FREE
Info: Happening April 20th. This all ages event is ideal for making memories and taking beautiful photos. The Easter Bunny will be on site from 11am to 2:30pm. Other activities will include DIY rabbit ears, decorate egg shaped cookies, scavenger hunts and face painting. There is no egg hunt at this year’s event. Parking is limited. Activities will run while supplies last.
Chilliwack
Place: Chilliwack Corn Maze, 41905 Yale Rd W.
Time: 10am – 3pm
Cost: $10 including tax for children 2 and over, adults are FREE
Info: This event is on April 19th and 20th. The egg hunt takes place in the apple orchard and every child receives a goodie bag for their efforts.
Kids will be able to take pictures with the Easter Bunny, jump on the giant jumping pillow, cruise around on the pedal carts, run through the indoor hay bale maze, visit the animals and much, much more. Various craft and game stations will also be set up along with face painting and a concession lunch.
Vancouver
Place: Vancouver Aquarium, 845 Avison Way

Info: Happening April 19th – 22nd. Embark on an Easter Scavenger Hunt with family and friends as questions crafted by their eggs-perts through the Aquariums galleries in search of answers. Return your completed scavenger hunt form to receive a chocolate treat and enter to win a prize. Scavenger hunt and Shark: 4D experience are included with admission or membership.
Place: Science World, 1455 Quebec Street
Time: 10am – 1pm

Info: Happening April 22nd. The 5th annual Vancouver Family Biking Easter Bonnet Ride. Decorate your bike and your headgear for the season than meet us at Science World. The ride will be fairly slow paced, nobody gets left behind, along the seawall as well as some quiet streets. It will be about 45 minutes to an hour of riding one way. The destination is Jericho, where participants will have a picnic. Please bring your own lunch and a water resistant blanket to sit on. After lunch families are free to head home whenever they like. There are several public washrooms at several locations along the route.
Place: Flyover Canada, 999 Canada Place
Time: 11am – 3pm
Cost: $23 to 33. BC residents are eligible for 25% off.
Info: Happening April 19th – 21st. The Easter Bunny will be hopping around Canada Place with a basket full of Easter treats and giveaways.
Place: VanDusen Botanical Garden, 5251 Oak Street
Time: 10am, 11am, 12pm, and 1pm
Cost: $8-18.
Info: Happening April 19th – 22nd. Purchasing tickets in advance is recommended. Kids can collect eggs near the maze area and receive a chocolate prize, hop along to fun music on the great lawn, take a photo with the Easter bunny and enjoy other eggciting activities at the garden. Please bring your own basket. Bunny ears and costumes are encouraged with prizes awarded for best costume during each session. There will be food trucks on-site so you can purchase tasty treats after the hunt. Tickets include entry to the entire 55-acre garden so make sure to enjoy a picturesque walk after the Easter activities.
