FAMILY EVENTS ON THE NORTH SHORE THIS WEEKEND

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 7th
Where the Wild Things Are – Live Theatre (7pm performance) $15 Location: Presentation House Theatre, 333 Chesterfield Ave, North Van Details: This award winning, internationally acclaimed production is an intimate ‘guided play’ experience for ages 3 to 7 and adults. Adapted from the beloved classic, the audience helps transform Max’s bedroom into a forest, then becomes the Wild Things as we are each given a mask and encouraged to ‘let the Wild Rumpus begin!’ With the leadership of the performers, the audience also helps bring Max safely home. The production has toured across Canada several times and to Japan twice.
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 8th
Vancouver Baby & Family Fair (10:00 am – 6:00 pm) Location: Vancouver Convention Centre (downtown) Details: Come visit us at our Modern Mama booth this weekend! Extensive selection of exhibitors, seminars and hands-on demonstrations on the latest information, innovations, products and services for expecting and families with young children. Find reliable information from industry experts; have fun for the little ones in the Creative Corner Area; and indulge in an incredible shopping experience, this event has what parents need and children love! Christmas Fair (10:00 am – 2:00 pm) FREE Location: St. Agnes Anglican Church, 530 East 12th Street, North Van Details: Everyone is welcome to stop by this traditional Christmas fair and pick up locally made crafts, toys, jewelry, delicious baked goods, pottery, jams & jellies, gift baskets, and Xmas items. There will also be a silent auction, a book & music table and a ‘new to you’ sale. The 6th St. Agnes Cubs & Scouts will also have a table. Stop by the lunch counter for coffee, tea, soup and goodies. Kid’s Toy & Clothing Sale (2:30 – 4:30 pm) $2 Location: Lynn Valley Rec Centre 3590 Mountain Highway, North Van Details: A great place to shop for lightly used kid’s/infant’s clothing and toys. Different vendors each day!
