If you are looking for some great events to help get you in the Halloween mood then we have just the events for you this week! With so much to do all over our city you will have a hard time trying to choose what to do first. The only thing that matters though is that you spend time making memories with your family out and about this week!

October 22nd

Britannia Mines Museum Spooktacular Halloween Weekends
For two weekends this month Britannia Mines Museum will be holding a spooktacular event. Filled with amazing activities from mad scientists to prospecting for gold you are guaranteed to have an amazing time. With some old fashion twists to bring you back to the old mining days these weekends will be perfect for making memories for the whole family. Pack up the whole family and make sure you don’t miss out on all the fun at the mines!

October 24th

VanDusen Botanical Garden presents Glow in the Garden
5251 Oak St Vancouver, BC V6M 4H1
If you are looking for something completely out of this world starting Oct 24th, rain or shine, you can head to VanDusen Botanical Garden for just that. Enter through the looking glass for this incredible Alice in Wonderland-esque treat with your family this Halloween. The gardens are easily accessible with a stroller and are huge which will give your family a beautiful place to enjoy the amazing lights.

October 28th

Sea to Sky Gondola Trick-or-Treat Event!
For an outdoor Halloween experience that turns trick or treating into a wilderness adventure, head to Squamish’s Sea to Sky Gondola. At the base of the gondola, a DJ will spin spooky tunes, and there will be spooktacular performances by the talented dancers of TPAC. Costume-clad kids can grab a trick or treat bag to decorate (available for first 250 kids) and get their faces painted at the Base Camp Café in the valley.
A ride in the gondola to the summit will thrill families before they venture off into the forest for trick or treating on the trails. Friendly Sea to Sky creatures including Bernice the Bear and Sally the Salamander will hand out treats at themed stations along Alpine Alley.
Admission to the Halloween Trick Or Treat is free with a gondola lift ticket or annual pass, and the celebration will take place from noon to 4:00 p.m. Little ghouls in need of fuel can enjoy a Kid’s Adventure Meal before they tuck into their candy haul. Make this delightful, not so frightful, afternoon chock full of seasonal surprises, a new Halloween tradition!

Halloween Hunt
City Square Shopping Centre 12pm – 3pm
Get ready to dress up your kids and get in some Free Halloween fun at this amazing event. Enjoy Trick-or-Treating, cookie decorating, face painting, a Magic Show and Enter for a chance to win the Grand Prize a Nintendo Switch with Legends of Zelda game. Lots of free activities for kids under 14 years with lots of opportunity to make memories and win some prizes! Make sure to get out of the house for this one.

October 29th

Halloweenie at the Kids Market
Granville Island Market Place 11am – 3pm
This is the day when all the little ghouls and ghosts can head over to Granville Island Market for trick or treating at all the shops. With so many amazing kids stores these shop fronts are always thrilled to see and meet your little ones in all their Halloween glory. There will be entertainment throughout and of course this gives you opportunity to check what the amazing market place has to offer.

Ghostly Downtown Tours

This 90 minute walking tour is great for the whole family, granted you have older children. This is a great way to ring in the Halloween season and learn a little something about the history of some of the most haunted locations in downtown Vancouver. You will love this look into the seedy history of our own city! You can catch these tours every Tuesday until October 27th, 2017.

If you have little ones that love to color this event is going to be an incredible experience. You can Colour your way through nature on a giant mural that showcases ecosystems from BC and around the world. This interactive colouring wall will be a sight to see and you need to get involved before it’s complete and bring the whole family. A great way to explore art and learn about our local ecosystem!

Heroes & Villians Family Version with Vancouver Mysteries

Become a team of superheroes with your own family, your goal? To find the much monster and save the planet. Guided by fun clues you will be able to explore the downtown Vancouver area while working as a team to fight villains. If you have some superheroes in your house then this is the perfect family day of fun!

Fright Nights

Halloween is here and for those of you who love a good scare Fright Nights is the perfect way to accomplish this. Only recommended for kids 13 and older it can be the perfect way for you get a free night from your teenagers while enjoy some rides and spooky good fun! With a more controlled admittance max you will need to get your tickets in advance to enjoy less lines and a more intimate Fright Nights experience for everyone until Oct. 31st!

Ghost Train at Stanley Park

Every year the Stanley park miniature train goes all out when it comes to the holidays and Halloween is no exception. With a new theme each time they do their best to impress with the best family friendly Halloween train out there. You can easily get tickets in advance online and I highly suggest doing so to ensure you get a spot! This is a big event so dress appropriately for the weather and be prepared for the possibility of a line up. Ends Oct 31st

FlyOver Canada – Halloween Theme

The 12th marks the first day of the FlyOver Canada Halloween adventure! If you haven’t tried FlyOver Canada and you have some little wannabe broom flyers over 40” this is the perfect family night out. Going all the way until the 31st you will have plenty of time to check it out with your whole family.

Cirque du Soleil – Kurios

If your family needs an inspiring, magical night out then look no further than Cirque Du Soleil and their production Kurios! Made for the curious minds this show will be a sight to see, thankfully for us they have even added extra shows. You can get a chance to see them all the way until December 31st which makes this a great gift idea for this Christmas too!
