I was provided with this summer camp to facilitate this giveaway. All opinions are my own.
Dr. Elaine Leung founded Sea Smart School in 2016 to help inspire children to love the ocean and empower them to be able to help protect our oceans. Children are educated at school about recycling and environmental issues but don’t necessarily know where they can fit in to get involved. Sea Smart’s after school, summer camps and school programs aim to inspire youth to love and respect our oceans and give them practical up-to-date information to get involved. The goal is to teach children how even their smallest actions can make a huge impact on the world around them. Sea Smart has become an Environment Canada G7 Task Force national partner in ocean education, launched an Ocean Plastics Education Kit for Canadian students, and supported SumofUS movement to help eliminate ocean-polluting plastic straws at McDonald’s, just to name a few.

Sea Smart summer camps give children and teens a chance to put down their phones, tablets and video games this summer to get outdoors. They will explore nature in a safe and fun way as well as find a new appreciation for the ocean. The camps are located at Acadia Beach in Pacific Spirit Park in Vancouver. They use fun and interactive activities to engage the participants. The overall goal is to teach young people about the role they can play in protecting our oceans and environment in a fun way. They will get their feet wet in the ocean while using and building life skills, such as critical thinking, personal awareness and social responsibility. To enroll in Sea Smarts programs click here.

Best way to connect with nature is to be in the midst of it!
