How Does She Do It? …with Amanda Geering

Are you an Urban or Suburban Mama, where do you live?

I live in the small suburban city of West Kelowna BC. It is growing fast but still a smaller city with more urban areas surrounding.

Tell us about your children?

I have 3 kids: My oldest boy is 10, my daughter is 9, and my smallest boy is 6.

Tell us about your typical weekday?

My typical weeks are nuts. I begin my days by letting daycare kids in the home by 6am and begin waking my kids and getting them ready for school. I feed 7 kids breakfast in the morning and send 3 out to the school bus, I drive 3 others to school and come back home with daycare kids and wait for more to arrive. I run a licensed child care center in my home 5 days a week and have as much relaxation and family time as I can on the weekend.

Do you have help?

My husband works for me in our daycare as my cleaner, store runner, and watches our kids so I can get shopping and appointments done.

Who cooks dinner?

I cook dinner each night and we try to avoid fast foods or take out at any cost.

How often do you buy something just for you?

I buy sushi once a month as my treat.

Do you exercise regularly and if so, what and how do you fit it in?

I am always walking, hiking, and doing all types of fun physical activities with my kids and my daycare kids.

What clothing lines or stores do you like to buy for your children?

We try to buy second-hand as often as possible as they constantly grow and ruin clothing. So any brand will do, as long as it fits and they are comfortable.

Candy, pretty much any type of candy. I have a crazy sweet tooth.
