Happy Kids. Happy Families. Kidville.
Their tag line says it all. This past weekend I had the pleasure of attending the Grand Opening of Canada’s very first Kidville in the Yonge Lawrence Village.
Arriving just in time for the ribbon cutting ceremony, my son and I were in a total whirlwind with all the activities going on. There were Rockin Railroad performances (unplugged being our favorite), Balloon Twister Madness (I received my very first balloon corsage), Basketball with adult sized baskets (watch out Kobe), and BUBBLES!!! What kid doesn’t like bubbles??? And that was just on the ground level.
Their facility boasts 8500 square feet of kid friendly and colorful space with 5 activity rooms dedicated to children. Individual, totally equipped rooms for your science buff, rock star, future Olympian or future NBA/WNBA player. Nicely nestled in between the art centre and gymnasium is a parents waiting area with windows to oversee your little ones at play.
While there are many playgyms throughout Toronto, no one could argue that Kidville has the most to offer, all under one roof. But that’s not all. No matter how great a place is, or their toys, so much relies on having the proper staff. It’s precisely what makes Kidville so great! Not only do they have the space, equipment and proper programs for children newborn to 6 years old, most importantly they have hired some of the most caring, happiest, and kindest people in the industry.
