Lots of events happening around town! I am psyched to take my guy to the Apple Festival on Saturday (see info below). But there is lots happening. Here is my selected round-up of things to do for a modern mama and kids over the next few weeks:
National Costume Swap Day – Saturday, October 13th.

One of a Few/Two of a Few/Misch Warehouse Sale, Saturday, October 13th, 10am-5pm.

The TELUS World of Science is FREE this weekend on Saturday October 13 and Sunday October 14th. At $23.50 for adults and $16.75 admission for kids, you’ll be saving some $$ by going this weekend. Visitors will get to interact with a Canadian Space Agency astronaut; explore Science World’s new spaces, take a virtual tour of the ATLAS control room at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider; and more!
The Great Big Boo! is a safe, not scary Halloween event that combines a theatrical musical show with trick-or-treating. Written for kids 2-12, this is an energetic show for the family. The entire event is 1 hour and 40 minutes – 50 minute show, intermission, and 30 minutes of trick-or-treating. Five performances at the PNE Oct 20 & 21. Tickets are $19.50 & available here.
And of course, don’t forget our two Modern Mama Events coming up too – Our skincare & pampering event at Kiehl’s happens this Sunday, October 14th, 9:30am-11:30am. Plus, our Essential Series on introducing solids and the baby led weaning approach is on Tuesday, October 16th, 10:00am-noon. Get details here.
