When was the last time you had a kid-free date night night?
It can get hard to make time to plan a night out with your partner but it is so important to take the time to hang alone together. Between the pandemic, back-to-school and life in general time can limited. This is our reminder to you to put all the adulting aside and hit up friends and family to see if they can babysit. Plan the ultimate night in: make food or order in, have your favourite drinks on hand, pull out the comfy blankets and prep to have a movie night. I personally love horror movies and they are a great excuse to snuggle up close.
HUSH (2016)
This movie is about a deaf writer who retreated into the woods to live a solitary life who must fight for her life in silence when a masked killer appears in her window. This ones is very psychologically scary. It also is from the same people who create The Haunting of Hill House.
DON’T HANG UP (2017)
An evening of drunken prank calls quickly turns into a nightmare for a pair of teenagers when a mysterious stranger plays them at their own game. The teenagers realize this game has deadly consequences.
THE VISIT (2015)
From horror master M. Night Shyamalan The Visit follows Becca and Tyler as they plan a week long visit at their grandparents’ house, whom they have never seen before. Little do they know that their visit will be the most terrifying experience of their lives.
THE INVISIBLE MAN (2020)
Elisabeth Moss is so amazing at playing truly tragic and complex women perfectly. If you haven’t seen The Handmaid’s Tale highly recommend. In this horror movie she plays a woman, Cecilia, trapped in an abusive relationship. Her partner fakes his death and becomes invisible to stalk and torment her. She begins experiencing strange events and decides to hunt the truth on her own.
THE LIE (2018)
A father and daughter are on their way to a dance camp when they spot the girl’s best friend on the side of the road in the middle of winter. When they stop to offer the friend a ride, their well meaning intentions soon result in a terrible situation in this psychological horror movie.
