Endless Opportunity for Family Fun with Kidsworld Program

I purchased this year’s pass but have been gifted another pass. All opinions are my own.

The Kidsworld program is an affordable family pass offering fun, athletic and educational experiences for families in Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. A pass is for children ages 4 to 13, along with an accompanying adult, to attend countless events at no additional cost. They have two passes: Summer (July/August) and Kidsworld 44 (September through June). The passes include the following attractions: Cultus Lake Adventure Park, Reifel Bird Sanctuary, Bard on The Beach, Abbotsford Agrifair, Vancouver Art Gallery, and a lot more! Each pass is only $60. My family found that our pass paid for itself after attending one attraction with Kidsworld. The Kidsworld44 pass has activities on the weekend and on non-school days. I really appreciated that the pass is in the child’s name and the accompanied adult can be anyone. It gave my daughter the ability to create memories with different members of her family. The pass also allowed us to be a tourist in our own backyard and experience a variety of different attractions that we may not have taken advantage of before. Brian also provides different low-cost parking tips which have been extremely valuable for future use, especially in Vancouver.

Canuck’s Game

My daughter and her great-grandmother were able to experience a game together. You can read more about their experience here. The game they attended was on Star Wars theme night so they got to also hear the VSO play music from the soundtrack. My daughter is not a huge sports fan, unless she is the one playing, and she really enjoyed the excitement of watching the game live.

Healthy Family Expo

The 6th annual expo was the first we had ever attended. The expo, held at the Vancouver Convention Centre, had a really well-done floor plan. They had a 35,000 sq ft kids area, live entertainment, community vendors and a huge food vendor area. Highly recommend eating a small breakfast or none at all prior to attending. We loved the opportunity to learn about so many local companies and where to find their products.

YVR Tour

We had been to the airport several times and were surprised at how many of the art features that we hadn’t noticed before. This two hour tour pointed out the buildings artistic features as well as the art work placed throughout. We learned that our award winning airport is a non-profit and ahead of the curve as far as sustainability and recycling programs.

CBC Tour

We got a guided tour throughout the CBC newsroom in Vancouver. We got to see the main hub where researchers put together stories, the live studios and control rooms as well as the radio station studios. We got to see a breaking news segment filmed live and had the opportunity for great photo ops at the main anchor desk.
