We are excited to introduce you to Adam Cohen. Adam is a husband and father to 3. They are raising their family in New York City. He is the founder of DaDa Rocks! You can follow him on Facebook and Instagram.
Are you an urban or suburban dad, where do you live?
I grew up in the NYC/Long Island area but our kids are born and raised NYCers.
Tell us about your children?
A son named Marc 11.5, two daughters Harper and Harlow 6.5 and 4.5 respectively.
Tell us about your typical weekday?
7:30am alarm to get the kids up. get them to school by 8:15am. I head to the office somewhere after 5:30pm head home. Do dinner with the kids (usually I play Daduber Eats – its like uber eats except delivered by Dad (pros and cons of living in the city way too many food choices and no one really agrees on what they want to eat). Baths and showers for the kids… once they’re in bed my wife and I typically eat our dinner and close out the night with some TV.
Do you have help?
Help that’s an interesting terms depending on how you look at it. No we don’t pay for a nanny and rarely pay for a house keeper. I do have family in the area and they offer to help out when they can, be it baby sitting for the kids or sleep overs.
Who cooks dinner?
My wife Suzanne loves watching Rachel Ray and follows a few of those recipes but she doesn’t love cooking, and she insulted my cooking when we were dating enough that I haven’t cooked in 12 years.
How often do you have date nights?
Really depends – its eps and flows of dates nights – some weeks we’ll go out 2 or 3 times if we have events or one of my parents can cover the kids… on the other side there are many weeks in a row that we don’t get a night off for both of us to enjoy each others company.
What clothing lines or stores do you like to purchase for your children?
Clothes for our son come from Appaman, Chaser Kids, Old Navy, Gap, Ralph Lauren, Century 21, Adidas, Nike and the girls are next level sure we hit up children’s place from time to time for some school clothes, Gap, Old Navy, but when you want to talk about the fashion outfits its Zara, florence fancy, pippa and julie, bella bliss clothing, Appaman, and Chaser Kids.
Do you exercise regularly and if so, what and how do you fit in it?
To have the perfect #DadBod I decline to exercise. 😉 I know I should but I just don’t know where I can steal the time from…
What is your favourite Christmas/Hanukkah gift that you have received as an adult?
We do celebrate both holidays… I think my favorite gift was from my son (with a lot of help from my wife) was from one of those pottery coloring places that had his baby hand prints on it. Otherwise I really love the Arcade1up I gifted myself – I always grew up wanting to own an arcade game and well now I do 🙂
What are you currently watching?
What aren’t we watching?!? We love the Crown. We just finished up the Morning Show, can’t wait for Narcos & Ozarks to come back with a new season, really enjoy Ray Donavan, Handmaid’s Tale, the new Jack Ryan show is awesome. Then after my wife goes to sleep I catch up on pretty much every superhero show that’s on CW and HULU (Arrow, The Flash, Batwomen, Supergirl, Runaways, etc).
