Summer is all about adventure. We roam around parks, beaches and places we’ve never been – even if they are within our own community.
Our summer adventures were varied and fun. A lot of fun. Some at home, around our big city and some on road trips and most of all just together, as a family.
We loved our little visit to Harrison Hot Springs in June, followed by a weekend in Kelowna to celebrate my Birthday. I even braved my first tattoo to mark a milestone birthday.
The PNE is always a fun day had by the whole family. My girls enjoy most of the rides and we all enjoy the treats and food. This year was especially fun because we watched the pig races for the first time. My eldest thought it was a hoot, and my five year old is now in love with piglets.
Ivy rode the swings ride for the first time ever. She rode them over and over. and over.
We made plenty of trips to the local parks and beaches around the lower mainland. We love living in beautiful BC.
In July we visited Oregon for the first time. I fell in love with Cannon Beach, although we also loved Portland. I hope to spend more time adventuring in both next summer again.
It was a fantastic adventure of a summer. Now it’s time for Fall to begin in the coming weeks, and for us to find fun indoors again. I personally love Netflix for the huge selection of ways to find adventures to watch with my family.
Some great adventure picks on Nettflix this month:
