Tom Lee’s Music’s New Flagship Store Grand Opening

The new, state-of-the-art facility in the revitalized Vancouver Centre Cinemas features a full-line selection of top brand musical instruments and equipment, the latest advancements in digital music technology, interactive displays, integrated sound and video technology, as well as acoustically designed spaces with soaring ceilings to inspire music making.

Good Day and Good Night, Carousel Theatre for Young People

The beloved Bee Stage is back with a brand new play and an original script by local favourites Kayla Dunbar and Dustin Freeland and original music by CJ McGillivray, for the littlest theatre-goers, newborn to age 3. A gentle, interactive show for the very young, Good Day and Good Night introduces infants, toddlers and their caregivers to storytelling and live music in an intimate drama experience that allows them to enjoy theatre on their own terms.

In Tune 2017 – Where New Musicals are Born, Presented by Touchstone Theatre

The biennial event for the development of new Canadian musicals is back! Since 2011, In Tune has been the launching pad for homegrown hits like Onegin, The Best Laid Plans: a Musical, and Love Bomb, while remaining a celebrated destination for strengthening individual artists’ musical theatre practices.  This year’s In Tune features five public showcases of new musicals from award-winning artists; masterclasses from professional musical theatre instructors and New York’s acclaimed musical producer, Jack Viertel.

Vancouver Mini Maker Faire

Maker Faire is often called the world’s greatest show and tell event. The community-driven festival showcases the amazing works of all kinds of Makers -anyone who is embracing the do-it-yourself (or do-it-together!) spirit and wants to share their accomplishments with an appreciative audience.

Douglas Park Community Day

Point Grey Fiesta

The Point Grey Fiesta is the community’s annual start-of-summer event for families and friends. Starting with a Saturday parade on West 10th Avenue, the Saturday celebration continues in Trimble Park with stage performances, activities and exhibitors. Carnival rides in Trimble Park operate from Friday to Sunday. With the exception of the carnival rides and midway games, Fiesta entertainment and children’s activities are free of charge.
