Every December, the Edmonton Valley Zoo Development Society hosts Zoominscence here in the capital city. It is a spectacular exhibition of artistic light installations within the unique setting of the Edmonton Valley Zoo. The festival’s vision is to celebrate light, artistry, imagination and the strong spirit of our community in the winter. This year’s theme being “The VZDS 30th Anniversary & Renewable Energy”. You are able to enjoy the skating rink, ice slide, fire dancers, ice, light exhibits, and 11 artist installations. The festival runs every Saturday & Sunday in December including the 26th & 27th! This is all in support of building our amazing zoo!

5:30 pm — Otter talk
6:00 pm — Elsa, Olaf & Reindeer
6:30 pm — Elephant talk
7:00 pm — Fire Dancer
7:30 pm — Seal Talk
8:30 pm — Fire Dancer

It is important to note that Zoominescence is a fundraiser partnership their charity and the Edmonton Valley Zoo. Because of this annual zoo passes with not work for entry to the festival. However, the cost is quite nominal and all funds raised go to helping build our zoo!
