***Discloser – All items were donated to me for my giveaway prizes***
When I started to think about my Christmas giveaways, I knew that this year it was very important to me to show local small businesses some love by helping to promote them. So this year for my first year of giveaways, I had a lot of handcrafted, gorgeous items to giveaway – and I love how easy they make it to shop too! I am excited to share some of my favourite local businesses with you.
Day 1: Earring and Necklace Set from Three Waves Designs
Named after her 3 daughters, Emily creates ocean inspired jewelry because the ocean has always been a place of bewilderment and relaxation for her. She also makes framed artwork from pieces she has found on the beach; ceramics, seaglass, shells or driftwood. Three Waves Designs is based out of Secord in Edmonton. If you want to see more gorgeous jewelry and artwork by Three Waves Designs you can find her on Facebook or on Instagram.
Day 2: Lego and Christmas Crayon Sets from Play in Colour
Tanja, is a mom of 2 who wanted to create crayons that would make kids and grown-ups smile and want to play. She started in my kitchen and is always thinking of her next design! Tanja believes in magic and fostering creativity. These would make great stocking stuffers for the little artists in your life! If you want to purchase your own set, you can check out Play in Colour’s Etsy page (link is above – click Play in Colour). You can also visit her on Facebook or Instagram.
Day 3: Candle from Modern Farmhouse
Modern Farmhouse is not like a big box store. Their items are displayed as you would display them at home, making it an easy transition to buy it from the store and put it directly into your space! They also do not buy in bulk, which means the stock is always changing & most of their suppliers are Canadian, or locally made!
Day 4: $10 Store Credit for Oak and Lavender
Hello!
Day 5: “Ain’t Nobody like a Homebody” Sign from The Humble Nest
Danelle is a wife of 12 years and a mother to 2 little boys. Danelle has a passion for creating wood wall décor to match any home, any style, and any personality. What started out for Danelle as a hobby, has quickly turned into her career. In fact, Danelle was in the process of sending in an application to continue her education, but she quickly realized that she had a career and no longer had a need to continue on in the application process!

Day 6: Hot Chocolate Bombs from Cake Affair
Cake Affair is a Spruce Grove bakery that started, kind of, by accident when her friend showed her how to work with fondant. After dabbling in cake decorating for a while, Jacquelyn began bringing cakes to family functions and making them for birthdays and baby showers. After making cakes in her commercial kitchen (in her basement), she has now upgraded to a shop in Spruce Grove. If you want to check out the tasty treats Cake Affair has to offer, check out her webpage (link above) or head over to Facebook and Instagram
Day 7: Everyday Wrap Set from The Humble Bee
The Humble Bee is a local beekeeper whose family made the switch to single-use, plastic-free almost two years ago with handmade, reusable beeswax food wraps. They started to make wraps for friends and family and it just took off. Now they make Beeswax Food Wraps, Beeswax FireStarters, and Beeswax Candles, as well as unpasteurized honey. They also offer in-person field trips for school.

Day 9: Gift Basket from Sweet Convenience
Sweet Convenience opened in May 2014, with an original concept of just being a Convenience Store with a huge candy inspired collection, with store made cotton candy in a variety of flavours and, of course, tonnes of candy. As time went on, they realized that was not the store their customers wanted or needed in Edmonton. She realized that she needed to change avenues, which is the concept behind the Sweet Convenience we all know and love today!

Distressing mason jars handed down to us my our moms, grandmas, aunts and friends. And from there it grew Into everything our minds could think of. Home décor boxes, wreaths, bathroom accessories, kitchen accessories and sooooo much more. We love what we do. And are constantly brainstorming new ideas. We welcome custom orders and are always creating our own accents and accessories for our wreaths and home décor items. Thanks for all the support Love – Kelsey & Niki Mason Me Smile

Day 12: Six Cakes from The SugarBox Bakery
The SugarBox Bakery was born out of my love to bake! My name is Sara Mikhaiel and I’m a self taught baker based out of my kitchen in SW Edmonton. I’m a wife and mama to two beautiful baby girls. I’m an accountant by trade and I love to bake. So when I have a recipe that I need to modify, pro-rating the ingredients is such a treat! I’ve been baking with my mama for as long as I can remember and decided to take the next step and do a bit more baking last summer. By the grace of God, I’m able to create desserts to help others celebrate. It gives me so much joy knowing that I get to spread happiness and create joy for others through something I enjoy doing.
