Being an adult is hard. Being a Mom is hard. I think that sometimes we try to do to much ourselves and are afraid to reach out and ask for help. It is okay to admit you are not okay. Connection with others is the key and unlocking childhood traumas can release our anxieties of today. These are a few of the retreats happening locally in 2019 and 2020:

Ravenstone Retreats
Location: Sunshine Valley, BC
Cost: $497 *Mention Modern Mama to receive $50 off booking.*
Dates: December 6th, 2019 at 5pm to December 8th, 2019 at 3pm
Information: The Peace of Mind workshop covers the disapproving voices we hear as children becomes the cruelest voice in own heads as we age. This weekend is about being vulnerable and healing, where you will get in touch with your guilt, blame and shame to start to heal from your past. The goal isn’t to improve ourselves or learn to behave differently, but practice self-forgiveness. Included in the weekend are 6 healthy meals and shared accommodation in a rustic cabin. Read about my previous experience here.
