12 Days of Giveaways Winners

I was not compensated for this giveaway but reached out to partner with brands that I have previously worked with this year to facilitate this giveaway.

I just want to say thank you to everyone who entered the giveaways and to all the vendor’s that made the giveaways possible this year. I am beyond grateful for all the opportunities that working with Modern Mama has brought to our lives this year and wanted to give the same experience to others. Thank you to everyone for reading my blog posts and following me on social media. Let me know in the comments what your favourite giveaways were this season and I will do my best to offer similar giveaways throughout 2020. All of the winners have been emailed or messaged on social media.

Day 1

Prize: A one night stay for up to a family of 4 in a two bedroom cabin at Rowena’s Inn on the River in Harrison Mills. The stay is for travel during Monday to Friday. Winners will also receive apple cider from Taves Family Farms.

Information: Rowena’s Inn on the River is located approximately 90 minutes from Vancouver. It is located beside Sandpiper Golf Course so you can sit on the deck of the cabin, surrounded by mountains with a view of the river and golfers. I had the opportunity to stay there this past September. You can read about my experience here. Taves Family Farms is located in Abbotsford. Their apple cider is made at their farm with the apples that they grow. The apple cider has no added sugar or preservatives and you can even watch it be made on site in their country store. They are launching a hard apple cidery that will be open this April.

Day 2

Prize: A family pass for 2 adults and 2 children to Flyover Canada’s Christmas Experience in Vancouver.
Information: The Christmas experience plays until January 5th, 2020. Flyover Canada utilizes state-of-the-art technology to reveal beautiful scenes of Canada, while hanging suspended in air, feet dangling, before a 20-metre spherical screen. The Christmas experience follows elves as they make the trip back to the North Pole. Day 3

Prize: A game for 2 at Vancouver Mysteries.
Information: Vancouver Mysteries is similar to an outdoor escape room. They offer three different games: Crime in Downtown, Secret Mission and Heroes and Villains. The games are played in Gastown and offer many educational tips about the area are offered throughout the games. Players navigate from location to location as you find clues, complete challenges and solve the mystery. They provide the kit and everything needed to play the game. Day 4

Prize: A day pass for 4 people including OMNIMAX at Science World
Information: Science World offers many different featured exhibits and on-site programs, such as preschool curiosity club, robotics club, summer camps and more. They are also the home of the largest OMNIMAX dome screen in the world. Currently plying is Apollo 11, Great Bear Rainforest and Superpower Dogs. The Cats and Dogs featured exhibit ends on January 5th, 2020. We had the opportunity to explore it, you can read about our experience here.

Day 5

Prize: 5 pairs of tickets to an advanced screening of Spies in Disguise on December 14th.
Information: Spies in Disguise follows super spy Lance Sterling (Will Smith) and scientist Walter Beckett (Tom Holland) who are almost exact opposites. Lance is smooth, suave and debonair. Walter is … not. But when events take an unexpected turn, this unlikely duo are forced to team up for the ultimate mission that will require an almost impossible disguise – transforming Lance into the brave, fierce, majestic… pigeon. Walter and Lance suddenly have to work as a team, or the whole world is in peril.

Day 6

Prize: One Kidsworld44 pass from Kidsworld Program and beautiful Vancouver and Whistler Puzzles and Placemats from Butzi Kids.

Information: The Kidsworld pass is a membership for your child. It is a one time cost of $60 that gets a child and accompanying adult into several local attractions throughout the Fraser Valley and Vancouver. I love that the adult is inter-changeable so any child can experience these attractions and make memories with several special grown-ups in their lives. The membership also gets discounts with several different companies such as Playland/PNE, BC Lions, Canucks and more! We absolutely love our Kidsworld pass and have used it to explore a bunch of attractions that never occurred to me to explore before. You can read about our experience here. Butzi Kids is a local company created by a mom who wanted to balance her work and family life. The outcome is beautiful puzzles and placemats that depict all the fun and interesting things to do in Vancouver and Whistler.

Prize: Roku Canada Streaming Stick
Information: With the cost of cable rising, Roku offers thousands of TV shows and movies that are both free and available through subscriptions. The streaming stick retails for $69.99. The stick is great if your TV isn’t close to your modem. It has a voice controlled option on the remote with TV controls too.

Day 9

Prize: A float for 2 at Float House Vancouver and a Kids Cooking Class from Well Seasoned Gourmet.
Information: Well Seasoned Gourmet is located in Langley. They offer cooking classes, gift baskets, specialty foods and catering. Float House offers monthly memberships for $39 a month. Floating is a practice where you enter into a sensory deprivation tank, which is a well-engineered enclosed tub filled with 10″ of water that has 800 lbs. of dissolved Epsom salts in it. The individual lies down in the water and floats effortlessly in the nude. The water is heated to the same temperature as the surface of your skin so that when the water settles and you remain relaxed and still, you do not really feel the water anymore. The tank is light-proof, sound-proof and has a neutral smell.

Day 10

Prize: Family Day Pass from Vancouver Aquarium.
Information: Sea of Lights at the Vancouver Aquarium runs until January 5th. It is included with your general admission and runs during opening hours. Visitors can walk by Scuba Claus and write him a letter. Visitors can pose in front of the enchanting jelly snow globe display, perfect for getting the perfect low-maintenance holiday picture to post. They even have an eel-powered Christmas tree. One of my favourite things to do at the aquarium is to watch the 4D movie. Prize: Diamond studs from Kings Jewelry and three bottles of wine from Okanagan Valley from Time Winery, Evolve Cellars and McWatters Wine.
Information: Kings Jewellers is a family-run business that has been in Chilliwack for 15+ years. They have an onsite Gemologist, Goldsmith and watch technicians. They offer a variety of jewelry options both in silver and gold. TIME Winery & Kitchen is a fully operational winery, tasting bar, restaurant and guest experience centre located in the heart of wine country in downtown Penticton.
Home to TIME Winery, Evolve Cellars and the McWatters Collection, the downtown winery is in a historic and stunningly revitalized space that once housed a movie theatre.

Day 12

Prize: A family membership to Maritime Museum of BC, two passes to Craigdarroch Castle and 2 passes to Victoria Butterfly Gardens.
Information: Victoria is a great place to vacation as a family and depending on where you are travelling from it is a quick flight or ferry to get there. Craigdarroch Castle was built by coal baron Robert Dunsmuir during the reign of Queen Victoria and is now a National Historic Site. Little Women (1994) and The Boy (2016) were filmed there. The Butterfly Gardens are home to thousands of tropical butterflies. It is conveniently located five minutes from the world-famous Butchart Gardens. The Maritime Museum of BC offers many exhibits and galleries. The Protecting Our Ocean feature exhibit ends on May 14th, 2020.
